We’ve previously written about music and covered how we are all musical creatures. So why not try your hand at learning an instrument? The guitar is an excellent choice to begin with, largely because you can purchase an instrument cheaply, largely teach yourself the basics, and it can go anywhere you do.
Consider when buying your partner or retired friend a slightly different gift of lessons with a local teacher or learn in the privacy of your own home with one of the many lessons freely available on YouTube. I bought Him 'singing lessons' a few years ago, and he enjoyed it immensely, and continued the lessons beyond the 'value' of the gift.
I've heard it said many times - "we don't want any more stuff", so perhaps consider purchasing something a little different like "Guitar Lessons"!
